How We Work

 Independent Evaluation Framework

Arlucent Assessments™ provides independent, assessment-only clinical evaluations designed to clarify complex diagnostic and behavioral questions. Each evaluation supports documentation, clinical formulation, and informed decision-making — within clearly defined scope and role boundaries. Assessments are not a substitute for treatment, therapy, or ongoing clinical care. This separation is what preserves our independence.

Each evaluation uses structured clinical interviews, relevant history, and appropriate supporting data. When indicated and authorized, collateral records may be reviewed to ensure accuracy. Assessments follow established professional standards and evidence-based practices. Findings are documented in a written report designed for settings requiring neutrality and objectivity — legal, professional, occupational, or personal.

Within the STABLE™ Continuity Architecture

The methodology described below operates the Screening, Tracking, and Analysis layers of the STABLE™ architecture. Each assessment produces a structured baseline (Screening), incorporates structured behavioral coherence measurement where the assessment tier provides for it (Tracking), and produces an interpretive synthesis of the convergent evidentiary sources (Analysis).

Where the case context warrants longitudinal monitoring, the Trajectory tier (Evaluation in the STABLE™ architecture) extends the assessment into a structured multi-administration series.

Methodological Framework

ASAM Criteria  +  The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™

Arlucent Assessments™ are ASAM-informed clinical evaluations that extend the standard six-dimensional framework through The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ (PFI), a structured analysis of behavioral coherence, value alignment, and behavioral stability across conditions.

ASAM Dimensions 1–6 provide the foundation for clinical reasoning regarding severity, risk, and service need. These dimensions are applied as a structured dimensional framework — not a checklist or algorithm. When indicated, assessments may include a Level of Care determination based on ASAM-informed clinical judgment. Level of Care determinations are provided as clinical opinion only and do not constitute authorization, placement decisions, or utilization review.

While the ASAM Criteria provide a multidimensional assessment of clinical severity and treatment need, they do not formally evaluate the consistency between stated recovery intent and observed behavioral patterns. The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ (PFI) addresses this gap through structured behavioral coherence analysis.

Because clinical circumstances evolve, ASAM-informed opinions reflect the evaluator's professional judgment at the time of assessment and may require reconsideration as new information becomes available. Arlucent Assessments does not provide treatment recommendations, therapeutic intervention, advocacy, or ongoing clinical services. The assessor's role concludes with delivery of the written report.

Assessment Levels

Arlucent Assessments™ offers three distinct assessment instruments, each designed for a specific clinical purpose. All three maintain the same ethical standards and independence requirements; they differ in depth, scope, and the integration of The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™.

Arlucent Standard ASAM Assessment (ASAA)

A standardized clinical assessment focused on ASAM Level of Care determination, designed in accordance with Minnesota DHS 245G requirements. This evaluation provides a focused, regulatory-standard placement instrument for individuals seeking or referred for substance use assessment.

Standard ASAM dimensional analysis (Dimensions 1–6).

Arlucent Clinical Assessment (ACA)

An enhanced clinical assessment that moves beyond standard placement to incorporate narrative formulation, structured behavioral analysis, and preliminary integration of The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™. The ACA is designed for situations requiring deeper clinical understanding than a standard ASAM evaluation provides.

Includes the Preliminary Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ Qualitative Layer — observational analysis across four locked subsections (Accountability Language, Value Conflict Indicators, Relational Repair Indicators, Moral Self-Evaluation).

Arlucent Comprehensive Systems Assessment™ (ACSA)

A capstone evaluation integrating full ASAM synthesis, complete behavioral coherence analysis, and systems-level interpretation. The ACSA is designed for high-complexity, high-stakes cases involving multiple systems — clinical, legal, familial, or professional — that must be addressed in a single comprehensive document.

Includes the full Integrative Clinical Systems Synthesis (six structured subsections, including the complete Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ — Faith, Forgiveness, and Values Integration synthesis), with the option to additionally commission an Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ PFI Report as a paired freestanding deliverable.

The Arlucent Seventh Dimension PFI™ Report

A standalone report derived from ACSA data, delivered as a separate document formatted for legal and professional review. Provides the full Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ behavioral coherence analysis as a focused deliverable when the integrative layer is the primary clinical question.

The appropriate assessment level is determined following intake review, based on the clinical question, situational complexity, and intended use of the evaluation.

For Attorneys, Probation, and EAP Professionals

Reports include structured ASAM dimension analysis, diagnostic clarity, severity rationale, and clearly articulated level-of-care considerations.

Evaluations are structured to support evidentiary clarity and transparent clinical reasoning in high-stakes decision contexts.

Assessments are conducted independently of defense or prosecution interests and do not constitute advocacy services.

Reports are organized to clearly distinguish documented evidence, structured clinical analysis, and evaluator conclusions.

Clinical Standards & Scope of Practice

Arlucent Assessments operates in accordance with a published Clinical Standards & Scope of Practice document that defines assessment methodology, ethical boundaries, independence requirements, and role limitations. This document is provided for transparency and public education and does not constitute informed consent, clinical advice, or a service agreement.
