The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™

The proprietary integrative layer that distinguishes Arlucent evaluations from standard ASAM analysis.

The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ (Procedural Faith Index; PFI) is a structured behavioral coherence analysis that evaluates the degree of alignment between an individual's stated values, expressed intentions, and observed behavioral patterns across varying conditions, including stress, environmental pressure, and recovery engagement.

The Gap It Addresses

The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria provide the clinical foundation for substance use evaluation across the United States. ASAM Dimensions 1–6 evaluate severity, risk, and service need — the core elements required to determine appropriate levels of care.

While the ASAM Criteria provide a multidimensional assessment of clinical severity and treatment need, they do not formally evaluate the consistency between stated recovery intent and observed behavioral patterns. The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ (PFI) addresses this gap through structured behavioral coherence analysis.

The Seventh Dimension does not replace the ASAM framework. It extends it.

Within the STABLE™ Architecture

The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ operates the Tracking layer of the STABLE™ behavioral continuity architecture. While ASAM Dimensions 1–6 establish the Screening layer's analytic substrate, the Seventh Dimension produces the structured behavioral coherence measurement that the Tracking layer is built around.

Where the case context warrants longitudinal monitoring, the Seventh Dimension extends into the Evaluation layer through the PFI Trajectory series — multi-administration measurement of behavioral coherence over time.

The Four Domains

The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ analyzes behavioral coherence across four structured domains. Each domain is scored on a defined 0–4 anchor scale, producing a total Procedural Faith Index (PFI) score that situates the individual's behavioral coherence profile within four interpretive bands. requirements; they differ in depth, scope, and the integration of The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™.

Domain 1 — Value Identification Clarity, stability, and internal consistency of articulated values.

Domain 2 — Behavioral Consistency Degree of alignment between stated intentions and actual behavioral patterns over time.

Domain 3 — Stress Fidelity Stability of value-consistent behavior under stress, dysregulation, or environmental disruption.

Domain 4 — Recovery Alignment Congruence between recovery goals and observable engagement in recovery-oriented behaviors.

Interpretive Bands

The Arlucent Seventh Dimension PFI™ produces a total score of 0–16 across the four domains, situating the individual's behavioral coherence profile within one of four interpretive bands:

  • 13–16  →  Integrated Behavioral Coherence
  • 9–12   →  Moderate Behavioral Coherence
  • 5–8    →  Low Behavioral Coherence
  • 0–4    →  Severe Behavioral Disorganization

Each band reflects the structural relationship between stated values and observable behavior at the time of assessment. Findings are not predictive of future behavior and are interpreted within the context of the full evaluation.

Integration Across Assessment Tiers

The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ is integrated across Arlucent Assessments at varied depth depending on the assessment tier selected:

ASAA: Standard ASAM dimensional analysis (Dimensions 1–6). The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ is not included at this tier.

ACA: Includes the Preliminary Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ Qualitative Layer — observational analysis across four locked subsections (Accountability Language, Value Conflict Indicators, Relational Repair Indicators, Moral Self-Evaluation).

ACSA: Includes the full Integrative Clinical Systems Synthesis with the complete Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ — Faith, Forgiveness, and Values Integration synthesis.

Standalone PFI Report: Derived from ACSA data, delivered as a separate document formatted for legal and professional review.

Clinical Utility

The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ informs structured clinical interpretation in contexts where the relationship between stated values and observed behavior is central to the clinical question. Common applications include independent evaluations requested in legal proceedings, professional licensing considerations, and clinical situations in which the consistency between recovery intent and observed engagement bears directly on the question being evaluated.

The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ does not produce predictions of future behavior, does not assign moral judgment, and does not generate diagnostic conclusions independently of the full clinical assessment from which it is derived.

Methodological Transparency

The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ (PFI) is a structured clinical reasoning framework. It is not a norm-referenced psychological test, has not been subjected to formal psychometric validation, and does not generate diagnostic conclusions independently of the full clinical assessment from which it is derived. Its clinical utility derives from the transparency of its scoring anchors and the convergence of evidentiary sources. Findings reflect patterns observable within the assessment context and are not predictive of future behavior.

Requesting an Assessment

The appropriate assessment tier — and the appropriate level of integration of The Arlucent Seventh Dimension™ — is determined following intake review, based on the clinical question, situational complexity, and intended use of the evaluation.
